The annual production of silica sol is expected to exceed 100000 tons! This project in Qingdao is constructing the first 10000 ton production line in China
End of year trial production of 100000 tons of silica sol project
Qingdao Handang Technology silica sol and aerogel project is the first 10000 ton production line in China
Qingdao Daily/Watching the Sea News In autumn, the site of Qingdao Handang Technology Silicone Sol and Aerogel Project located in Qingdao Xinhe Ecological Chemical Technology Industrial Base was busy. The main works of the project have been completed. Workers are carrying out equipment installation and commissioning to make final preparations for the trial production at the end of the year.

The main works of Qingdao Handang Technology silica sol and aerogel project have been completed and entered the stage of equipment installation and commissioning.
The silica sol and aerogel project of Qingdao Handang Technology was jointly built by Qingdao Handang Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other scientific research institutions to overcome technological difficulties through independent innovation and build the first 10000 ton production line in China. The project will break the current situation that the large-scale production technology of silica sol has been monopolized by foreign countries for a long time. The project will take silica sol as the fulcrum, expand the product matrix of aerogel, microsphere silica gel and other products horizontally, and connect the industrial chain from nano oxide to terminal application vertically, providing key material guarantee for China's new energy, environmental protection, electronics and other strategic industries.
"When the project is put into operation, the annual production capacity of silica sol is expected to exceed 100000 tons, which can meet more than 40% of the domestic middle and high-end market demand." Miao Zhenlong, project manager of Qingdao Handang Technology silica sol and aerogel, introduced. (Qingdao Daily/Guanhai News reporter Li Deyin)
